Throughout the mix linear, minimal grooves collide with intense sweeps, droning synths, piercing sirens and distorted SFX giving this mix a full bodied and energetic feel, and the digital nature (L'embrouille only mixes netlabel material in MP3 format using digital equipment) means that this mix is tight and the sound quality is second to none. L'embrouille records regular sessions and his netlabel mixes attract listeners from around the globe. A firm supporter of netlabel music, he mixes material he finds on many of the growing leigon of netlabels, selecting the best cuts to push.

Substuff - Biography

Substuff -Mike Turned -Professional Zero - Mike Turned began his passion for the techno sounds when he was also a teen, in 1993 he discovers the pioneer clubs in Madrid and became an adict. The first contact with the production was in 1995, with a PC program called “Fast Tracker” ( It rules in a 486! ), his friend Andrés Criado and him were fascinated. It was a MS-DOS sequencer, and the default sounds were so bad, but them learnt to compose.- In 1997 nobody believes in the musical posibilities of the computers, except Mike Turned. He bought his first PC to make music in this year. The earliest virtual sinthesizers and sequencers were there, and he investigate it. Andrés had knowledgements of rithm composition and they worked together in they first minimal-techno tracks.- In 1998, dj Von ( resident in Voltereta, a legend club on the Madrid´s scene ) called them to play their tracks in a party. They looked for a name, Substuff - live-act was born.

On 2000 they were needing a mixer to make a better live-act, and Carlos G. was the man: an experienced disc-jockey of the madrid´s scene, he was a pioneer of the electronic music on the lastest ´80s. The Substuff´s session of this year was so great, and they were selected to play at Sónar, in Barcelona. Substuff was one of the greatest discovering in the festival for much people, and the Future Music magazine called them “revelation group of the year”. Mike Turned begans his career as “contents manager” in www.tonytechno.com .

Alberto Polo ( a friend of Mike Turned ) came into SubstuffSomething was changing in this last years, Substuff was a techno-house group and it becamed on a hardtechno live-act, Andrés Criado was quiet hungry with this and left the group. Mike Turned left www.tonytechno.com, when he got into the web had 200 visitors by day, in 2002 they were over 2000!. He gets into www.technofutura.com, but only for three months...
